This obligation can be difficult for LEAs to comply with. Therefore, this session will provide a comprehensive overview of MOE and the related financial reporting requirements.

With the completion of the American Rescue Plan – Homeless Children and Youth Funds (ARP-HCY), ensuring the Title I set aside is sufficient to serve students experiencing homelessness is more important than ever. In this session we will review the requirements of the Set Aside Title I funds for students experiencing homelessness, the allowable uses of these funds, when to use the set aside, and discuss the importance of including the McKinney Vento liaison when calculating the set aside amount. To stress the relevance of the Title I set aside, we will briefly review the definition of homelessness as stated in the McKinney Vento Act and the McKinney Vento statewide data.
